The significantly popular Pigs & & Pinot red wine and dining occasion has partnered with Odyssey Red wine Academy and Daybreak Rotary Club of Healdsburg to introduce a scholarship program targeting at expanding white wine understanding in Sonoma County restaurants, hotels and other areas of the hospitality market.
The chosen 15 scholarship recipients will be able to take among the two accreditations completely moneyed provided by the Red wine & & Spirits Education Trust. The objective is to have the first class of graduates prior to the spring hospitality season.
Charlie Palmer and Daryl Groom are the founders of Pigs & & Pinot, a yearly Healdsburg occasion in March that pairs pork and Pinot.
In a statement, the popular dining and wine leaders said they felt their objective to bring more white wine education to the hospitality industry was lined up with that of Odyssey Red Wine Academy. They then got in touch with creator Julie Rothberg.

Sunrise Rotary Club charter members and 2022 interim presidents Larry Orr and George Dutton said it was a “no-brainer” when it pertained to partnering with Palmer, Groom and Rothberg.
Applications are readily available on Odyssey Red wine Academy’s website up until Jan. 15, 2023, and candidates will be alerted within that next week if they have been selected.
Rothberg informed Journalism Democrat the objective is to have the class of scholarship recipients complete their certifications prior to the start of the spring hospitality season.
