You made it! Welcome 2023 with the Calendar of Red Wine Days. A fresh year. A brand-new year to learn about all the fabulous wines, local and worldwide. Each of these white wines is available in the Rogue Valley, a lot of them grown and made by local vintners.
JANUARY
Jan. 10– Champagne and French Fries Day due to the fact that why not?
FEBRUARY
Feb. 1– International Furmint Day. The most extensively grown grape of the Tokaj wine area in Hungary. Inspect Kimball’s Artisan Red wines in Jacksonville for these tasty white wines. The essence of Hungary with indigenous grapes. (See Dec. 10)
Feb. 14– Wine and Enthusiasts’ Day
Feb. 16– International Syrah Day. Syrah by any other name is a Shiraz. While the grape stays the very same, the design and taste do not. Syrah is Northern Hemisphere. (See July 28)
Feb. 18– International Drink White Wine Day
Feb. 21– Fat Tuesday/ Mardi Gras. Anything goes!

March 3– Mulled White Wine Day
March 13– International Riesling Day
March 25– Ladies in White Wine Day
APRIL
April 14– Tannat Day. Head to Troon Vineyard in the Applegate for this red wine. They even have one you can Pét (tanNat).

June 21– World Lambrusco Day. For an enjoyable and perky regional Lambrusco-esque red wine attempt Kismet Sparkling Zinfandel from Noise & & Vision at Driver Red Wine Collective.
June 23– International Rosé Day. A day of looking through rose-colored glasses.

July 1-7– Champagne Week

July 27– Shiraz Day (Southern Hemisphere). A dark-skinned grape grown internationally. A great day to compare how different the white wine tastes from various parts of the world.
