BELLEVUE, Wash.– A previous Seahawk is bringing fans brand-new factor to cheer– or, more specifically, to say, “Cheers.”
Sidney Rice launched brand-new luxury white wine brand File with service partner Tim Linehan.
Rice invested seven seasons as a pass receiver in the NFL, three of them with the Seattle Seahawks. He belonged to the 2014 Super Bowl Champion team.

After retiring from football, he went into company. Throughout the pandemic, he found a new enthusiasm: white wine.
“I fell for wine from a huge, vibrant cab and now I’m all across the board,” Rice said. That’s where Lenihan can be found in. A pal and property broker/developer originally from the Yakima Valley, he sent Rice some Washington wines to taste. They bonded over their shared interest and in 2021, chose to develop their own brand.
“The moment I think for both of us was when the very first bottle boiled down the bottling line,” Lenihan stated. “Now we could see what this could be.”

File White wine is made using Washington-grown grapes and the winemaking team is lead by Billo Naravane MW, owner and wine maker of Rasa Vineyards.Rice isn’t simply lending his name to the labels. He’s a working member of the group, and both he and Lenihan personally helped make up the tastes in every bottle.
“When I initially got into white wine, I didn’t know anything about it. And the more I have actually discovered, I know definitely nothing about it,” Rice stated, laughing.Even a newbie can appreciate their three inaugural red wines: a syrah, made with grapes grown in an old Eastern Washington riverbed; a crisp sauvignon blanc; and a rosé implied for all seasons.”‘ Rosé throughout the day,’summer. However ours is rosé all year round. It has substance,” Rice said. RELATED: Are red wine grapes the new’apple’of Washington?More varietals will be launched in December, and a tasting space in Walla
