, wine master at Cartersville Nation Winery, and Susann Watson discussed the winery throughout the club’s lunch conference at Florence Nation Club. The winery produces about a lots ranges of red wine from muscadine grapes, which make for sweet white wines, Norton said. The white wines
are offered in about 180 Pee Dee area shops.
” We started 13-14 years back. We had a big fire that slowed us down,” Norton said. “We’ve been in the shops approximately 4 years now.”
The winery, located at 571 Lamar Highway in Timmonsville, provides an air B&B, occasion space, a recreational vehicle parking lot and a tasting space.
” These are our 4 primary sellers. Moonlight Creativity, which is a sweet white wine, sweet gewurztraminer,” Norton stated. “Lynches River Red, which I make sure y’ all have actually heard of Lynches River. It’s a sweet red.”
” I had some white wine that was a little bitter and I didn’t want to put 3,000 gallons down the drain so I found a concentrate which was natural fruit; this is how we developed our fruit wines. The peach is most likely our best seller. We sell pallets,” Norton said.
