Among my favorite gewurztraminers for all events is a Bordeaux Blanc. It has the correct amount of body, level of acidity and fruit to accompany lots of various foods. Whether it’s smoked fish or pasta in a cream sauce, this red wine works.Cuvee Clemence sees six months of neutral oak and is 70%sauvignon blanc, 20%semillon & 10% muscadelle.Wonderful heady aromatics of ripe oranges, & tropical fruits,
vanilla bean and spice. Tastes of tangerine, apricot, apple and tips of nutmeg. The white wine displays nice weight, complexity and long-term surface. A more contemporary style with a nice twist.Pair with: herb roasted chicken, salmon in a garlic cream
sauce, pasta primavera, smoked white fish.Price:$15.99– Jeff Anderson is sommelier at Westside Alcohol.
