Here is a magnificent wine for nearly any occasion. I love huge red zins from California for everything from BBQ to steak frites. Nick Goldschmidt is the dynamic wine maker behind this gem and makes some of the tastiest bottle from Cali in my book. The grapes for
this zin are sourced from Dry Creek and Alexander Valley. These two areas produce some of the finest zin grapes from the Golden State. The white wine sees 15
months in French oak barrels giving it complexity and depth. Aromatics of blackberry, pepper and blueberry fill the glass. Flavors of raspberry, black cherry, plums and spice fill the taste buds. The red wine has skill and a silky mouthfeel. This is excellent Zin that must be experienced.Pair with: smoked brisket, grilled tri pointer, sirloin pointers in red white wine, smoked turkey, grilled burgers.Price:$20.99– Jeff Anderson is sommelier at Westside Alcohol.
